Is it bad to use Baby powder and Is liquid powder okay?

Is baby powder okay to use on a newborn? Also i wanna know if liquid powder is better or kinda the same.Is baby powder bad or not?Is it bad to use Baby powder and Is liquid powder okay?
Baby powder is bad because babies inhale it and could cause serious damages to their lungs. But I totally would use Liquid powder also babies like it and smells better.Is it bad to use Baby powder and Is liquid powder okay?
You don't need to use powder or liquid powder, in fact with disposable diapers the powder just locks moisture against the skin that normally would be soaked up right away by the diaper. Powder is also not a real good choice because baby can breath it in and it can cause problems. If you want to avoid diaper rash just change baby right away when he/she is wet or dirty and use a zinc oxide cream at the first sign of redness.
if baby powder wasn't recommended then they wouldn't make it. as long as you keep from poofing the powder or using tons and tons at a time then it will be fine. i use the powder by shaking it onto the diaper away from my child and then putting it on him.
Talcum powder based baby powder is kind of under fire the last few years. I use Johnson's Corn Starch based baby powder and I think it works great, especially with a little zinc oxide cream. I find the liquid a little harder to apply.
I was told with all 3 of my children that baby powder is not good for the babys lungs its not good for them to breath. but my mom used it for so long and nothing happened to us .
Baby powder isnt' recommended anymore because it gets inhaled easily and coats the lungs.





There's not really a use for it anyway.
The general consensus seems to be that baby powder is a carcinogen. I guess, just best to make sure you dry he/she off properly following a bath!
