What kind of foundation (like a cream, liquid, or powder) would work for African-American skin?

when you go to the makeup counter, try on 3 stripes of different shades of foundation from your cheek to your jaw area and wait a few minutes to see if the oils in your skin change the colour pigments. the one that matches your skin tone is the correct one for you.

Concealer - use - golden-orange concealer, for deeper ebony skin use a warm brown concealer.

Powder - use a powder with golden-orange undertones to brighten and freshen the skin to a beautiful glowWhat kind of foundation (like a cream, liquid, or powder) would work for African-American skin?
Liquid would work best. Even though you will be applying a liquid foundation to your face, moisturize before you do it. One of my friend/idol is african american and we both use Clinique products, and for the foundation she uses Clinique Perfectly Real, and for the moisturizer, she uses Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizer Lotion. She is a professional model (in the training) and has done runway shows and has been reconized many time due to her beautiful skin! I hope this helps, and Clinique makeup is always the way to go! =)What kind of foundation (like a cream, liquid, or powder) would work for African-American skin?
Definately a powder...

it is more visable and clearing on black skin because it makes the skin have a matte look %26amp; no oily shine to it.

hope i helped.. if u need anything else, let me know.

Any would work, it depends on your skin type. You should go to a make up counter (try Mac) at any major department store and they'll give you a free consultation.
Look at cover girl products.
